Wedding #10 of 2015! Incredible!!!

I mean, I knew this wedding would be awesome from the day Ryan & Crystal asked me to DJ but seeing it come to life for the weekend was above & beyond what I had pictured in my head!

I’ve known this couple for quite a while now. Ryan used to be my former manager at 6B Lounge where I still currently DJ every Friday night for “90s Night”. When you want to talk about two people who just are purely genuine and wicked wicked WICKED nice – it’s these two right here. I’m lucky to be able to call them friends in addition to rocking their wedding. Ryan and I have similar tastes in music with rock and Crystal is a huge 90s fan so we had a great time compiling music for the night.

The wedding was held August 8th at the Mountain View Grand Resort about 3 hours from Boston in Whitefield, NH. I was able to get a full weekend at this incredible resort, headed up Friday to attend rehearsal dinner and mingle with some of the guests. The place is HUGE with tons to do. Indoor and outdoor pools, a farm full of animals, and the best part of all THEY HAD AXE THROWING! I took advantage of everything they had to offer.

Wedding day was great. Ceremony was held outside with the most breathtaking view of the mountains in the background. Pictures really don’t do it justice. I had set up one PA speaker and a wireless mic for the ceremony and they had two amazing musicians provide the music for this part of the night along with cocktail hour.

We then all moved into the Presidential ballroom for dinner and dancing. My main DJ set up was in there and once cocktail hour wrapped up we went right into the wedding party introductions which was done to “Jump” by Kris Kross and Ryan & Crystal were announced to “Turn Down For What” by DJ Snake. The crowd was loving the music choices! Their first dance was “Let’s Stay Together” by the amazing Al Green. Dinner music was a combo of Miles Davis/John Coltrane and some instrumental Beatles tracks by Bill Frisell.

Once dinner wrapped up (which was AMAZING btw – seriously some of the best wedding food I’ve had) we got parent dances going. Crystal & her father danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts while Ryan & his mother danced to “Loves Me Like A Rock” by Paul Simon. It was then that the dance floor was open and things were nonstop until the 11pm curfew! Such a fun crowd into everything and very energetic. With most weddings since it’s a lot of age ranges and different music tastes I tried to touch on all of that playing old school 50’s doo-wop stuff with some 70s funk and soul into top 40 and everything in between from the 80s and 90s. It was a blast!

Photos listed below are of my favorite activity at the resort Axe Throwing, along with the ceremony, the cake, the dance party, myself with the bride & groom, and the favors at the end were incredible! They love to travel so the idea of a suitcase of mints and airplane bottle opener was very fitting.

Thank you Ryan & Crystal and congrats to you both!!! You guys ROCK!!!
